Northern Kentucky Job Growth Accelerated with GROW NKY
August 16, 2018: Northern Kentucky Regional Alliance is dedicated to transforming Northern Kentucky with a focus around four key initiatives: Community Vibrancy, Health, Job Growth, and Education. Reflective of our Job Growth intitiative, Regional Alliance member companies have committed financial support and strategic guidance for GROW NKY through the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. This support will be used for operational and programming needs.
As a part of the Talent Attraction and Retention focus of GROW NKY Workforce Initiative, a new collaboration plugs into the regional startup ecosystem to meet the needs of traditional companies. The initiative is driven through Cintrifuse and the Northern Kentucky startup ecosystyem of Northern Kentucky Innovation Network, Uptech, Aviatra Accelerators, and Northern Kentucky University. The program assesses a company’s opportunity for internal innovation to create operational efficiences and brings in a startup to create a pilot program that fills the need. Several Regional Alliance member companies have pilots underway, including CVG, Fidelity, Duke Energy, and St. Elizabeth.
GROW NKY is a comprehensive workforce strategy established by the collabroation of Northern Kentucky’s key partners. Each partner, including NKY Chamber, is responsible for implementing various pillars in the NKY talent strategy based on their core competencies. Centralized executive responsibility, leadership, and management will elevate coordination, efficiency, and create a faster response to regional workforce needs.
This NKY talent strategy is a comprehensive, holistic approach by the NKY region’s key workforce partners who are committed to driving outcomes for talent pipeline management that will maintain and grow a strong economy and ensure that NKY will attract future business because of a strategic workforce effort, unique to the commonwealth. Positions dedicated to this NKY talent strategy effort are co-located in a common space designed to foster constant communication and collaboration between workforce partners.
As one of Northern Kentucky Regional Alliance’s four intiatives, job growth plays a vital role in the growth of the NKY region. The Regional Alliance is highly supportive of this evolving strategy and the impact it will have on our region.
